New Views of Nuclear Energy

Twenty years after the Chernobyl disaster, the UN, the IAEA and other governing bodies still advance nuclear power as a viable energy source. Greenpeace plans to campaign throughout 2006 in the hopes that these groups will stop promoting a dirty and dangerous industry. The center of this effort is a traveling photography exhibition, which will stop at Gasteig from October 17 until November 6, as part of a 30-city tour. Through eighty black and white portraits, and interviews with people suffering the effects of nuclear disaster, Greenpeace aims to remind audiences that real individuals make up the government’s grim statistics.
