Egg Art

Art historians and semiologists commonly regard the egg as a symbol of fertility and resurrection. Appropriately, the shape often appears in the background of classical religious paintings. From March 14 through 16, however, the egg itself will be on display as the center of art production. An exhibition at the Einsäulensaal of the Residenz will present decorated eggs from many centuries, including modern forms of egg painting. The opening hours are Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm, and 10 am to 6 pm on the weekend. Entry will cost € 3
