Green Groceries

Over one long weekend this month, just 25 km southeast of Munich, more than 150 exhibitors will present organic products having to do with the household, agriculture, gardening, transportation, nutrition, health, music and art. In addition cooking shows, seminars and workshops will be on offer at the “Grüne Lust” market, which proves annually to be a great source of educational entertainment. Solar-, human- and plant oil-powered vehicles, daily tours through the bakery, butcher, brewery and distillery, natural textiles, handmade furniture, massage, arts and crafts, the Kinder-Café where children can make and sell cakes, pony rides and many fun, educational opportunities for kids round out this environmentally conscious event. The market will be held from May 23 to 25, on Friday 1 pm–7 pm and on Saturday and Sunday 10 am–7 pm. There is a € 5 admission fee for those 14 years and older. To reach Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten (Herrmannsdorf 7, 85625 Glonn) by car, take Autobahnring München Ost, exit at Hohenbrunn towards Putzbrunn, then to Glonn. To go by S-Bahn, take the S5 towards Ebersberg and exit at Kirchseeon, then take bus 440 to Westerndorf and from there it is just a 15- minute walk or a short shuttle-bus ride away.
