Going for Green

Cead Mile Failte! Although the legend of St. Patrick is dubious at best, March 17 is a well established day of merriment. As it falls on a Wednesday this year, a three day festival is planned for the weekend before, March 12 to 14. Live bands from Ireland, Scotland and Canada will be playing every night, and tickets are € 12.50 per evening, and the celebration on Sunday afternoon is free. All events take place at Kultfabrik, Grafinger Str 6. With over 30 groups and bands walking in the Sunday afternoon parade, it promises to be loads of fun and a great excuse to get outdoors! If you are interested in downing a frothy Guinness or taking in some traditional Irish music on the 17th, head down to Killians (Frauenplatz 11) or Shamrock (Trautenwolfstr. 6) in your best green hat. For parade routing or further information check out www.stpatricksday.de.
