There’s nothing like curling up with a good book when the autumn nights draw in. But instead of logging onto Amazon, why not try the English Booksale at the Familienzentrum in Haar, which is being held on Friday, October 15. The event, which is in aid of Calcutta Rescue, takes place from 3 pm to 6 pm. Anyone with English books, video tapes, cassettes or other media who would like to donate to the sale should contact petra@no-wak.de or lisaobermaier@gmx.de.
