Turkish: Merhaba

Information:
Merhaba has extended its invitation with a solid kitchen for thirty years. A hot semolina salad with onions, peppers and garlic (€ 3.90) or simply a plate of Zeytin (olives, € 3.90) are each an appetizing means to make way for Merhaba’s mostly lamb-based main dishes: grilled lamb kebabs on roasted bread with tomatoes and a garlic yogurt sauce (€ 12.40), pan-fried diced lamb with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and rice (€ 12.90) and marinated lamb kebabs prepared on a lava rock grill (€ 11.40). Desserts feature super-sweet Turkish classics, such as Helva (sesame paste, € 3.20) and Baklava (puff pastry with walnuts, € 3.40). The straightforward cooking and the friendly interior—composed of basic wooden furniture and warm orange walls—make Merhaba a neighborly eatery and a homey alternative, especially on weekday nights, when there seems to be no need to prepare food at home. Turkish live music on Saturdays!
